Kiprusoff, Flames visit struggling Stars

DALLAS (Ticker) - Two days after having their winning streak snapped, the Calgary Flames look to start a new one when they visit the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.

The Flames were downed, 5-3, by the Nashville Predators on Monday.

Kristian Huselius tallied twice, but Calgary yielded three goals in the third period to have its five-game winning streak snapped.

Flames All-Star netminder Miikka Kiprusoff, who allowed just six goals in winning his four previous starts, stopped 29-of-33 shots in the contest.

On Wednesday, Kiprusoff looks to rebound against a team he has struggled against throughout his career. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner is 3-6-1 in 10 career starts vs. the Stars.

Dallas, which has won just twice in its last seven contests, snapped a three-game skid with Monday's 3-1 victory over Los Angeles.

Marty Turco made 20 saves and Mike Ribeiro registered a pair of assists for the Stars, who have dropped their previous two meetings with the Flames this season.
