Maple Leafs aim for third straight win

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs look for their third straight win when they tangle with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.

Winners of four straight on the road, the Maple Leafs swept through the Sunshine State with a 4-2 win at Tampa Bay on Tuesday and a 3-2 win over Florida on Thursday. Netminder Andrew Raycroft was sharp in Toronto's wins over the Lightning and Panthers.

After allowing six goals on just 21 shots in a 6-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks last Saturday, Raycroft only allowed four goals on 64 shots in his last two outings.

Johnny Pohl, who has eight goals this season, netted the game-winner against the Panthers.

The Penguins, who are 2-0-1 in their last three games, try to rebound from a 5-4 shootout loss against the Boston Bruins on Thursday. Evgeni Malkin, who leads NHL rookies with 24 goals and 47 points, tallied twice for the Penguins.

Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby, whose 69 points leads the NHL, had three assists in Pittsburgh's 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs on December 29.
