Wild return home to host Stars after record road win

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- One night after setting a franchise record for consecutive road wins, the Minnesota Wild host the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

In Minnesota's fourth straight road win, 3-0, over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, Marian Gaborik stayed hot by scoring a pair of goals.

Gaborik, who missed 34 games earlier in the season with a groin injury, extended his points streak to five games in which he has seven goals and an assist.

Minnesota netminder Manny Fernandez, who had his three-game win streak snapped in a 2-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, made 24 saves to improve to 4-1-0 in his last five games.

The Wild, despite four straight road wins, are still only 9-15-1 on the road compared to 17-5-2 at home.

Dallas, which has won two straight, comes off a 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday. Jere Lehtinen led Dallas with a pair of goals while Marty Turco finished with 18 saves and assisted on Stu Barnes' second-period tally.

Turco, 23-15-1 with a 2.30 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage, has won his last two starts after losing his previous three. He is statistically better on the road this season, as he is 12-8-1 with a 2.18 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage on the road.

At home, Turco is 11-7-0 with a 2.44 GAA and a .902 save percentage.
