Devils, Lightning collide in battle of hot clubs

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Two hot clubs collide when the New Jersey Devils and the Tampa Bay Lightning meet on Friday.

The Devils lead the Atlantic Division with 63 points and are 4-0-1 in their last five games.

The biggest story for the Devils this season has again been goaltender Martin Brodeur, who leads the NHL in goals-against average (2.01) and wins (29) and ranks second with a .928 save percentage.

The Lightning have been inconsistent this season in enduring two four-game losing streaks while enjoying a five-game winning streak from January 7-15.

One player who has been consistent for Tampa Bay is right wing Martin St. Louis, the 2003-04 Hart Trophy winner. St. Louis is in a five-way tie for the league lead in goals with 30 and has seven tallies and 13 assists in his last 14 games.
