Kings seek second straight win after seven-game skid

EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Kings hope to build on an encouraging win when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

Alexander Frolov scored in overtime to give the Kings a 3-2 victory over Vancouver on Friday.

Frolov netted the winner at 1:48 of the extra session, when he banged in a rebound of a shot by defenseman Kevin Dallman for his 25th goal of the season. Frolov gave the Kings a 2-0 lead at 12:26 of the first period, jamming home a rebound from his own shot from the right dot.

The win snapped Los Angeles' seven-game losing streak.

The Oilers were defeated, 5-1, by San Jose on Friday for their fourth loss in five games. Fernando Pisani scored the lone goal for Edmonton on a shot that caromed off the right shoulder of Sharks netminder Vesa Toskala.
