Conroy plays first game for Flames vs. former team

CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) - When Craig Conroy arrives at the Pengrowth Saddledome, he won't need any help knowing which locker room to use.

One day after being traded back to the Calgary Flames, Conroy will take the ice against his former team, the Los Angeles Kings, when the squads square off Tuesday.

The 35-year-old Conroy was sent by the Kings to the Flames on Monday for Jamie Lundmark and two draft picks. Conroy had five goals and 11 assists in 52 games with Los Angeles.

A 12-year veteran, Conroy had 60 goals and 128 assists in three-plus seasons in Calgary before signing with the Kings as a free agent after the 2003-2004 season. He has also played with Montreal and St. Louis.

The Flames are winless in their first two games since the All-Star break, including Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Alex Tanguay had a goal and two assists and Kristian Huselius and Daymond Langkow also scored for Calgary.

After being outscored, 28-13, in seven straight losses prior to the All-Star break, Los Angeles has split its last two outings. The Kings posted a victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Friday before suffering a 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers the following night.

Michael Cammalleri scored his 19th goal and Patrick O'Sullivan added a power-play tally for Los Angeles, which has lost 17 of 23 road games this season.
