Penguins look for sixth straight home win

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - The Pittsburgh Penguins look for their sixth straight home win when they host the league-leading Nashville Predators on Tuesday.

The Penguins have not lost at home since a shootout setback to Tampa Bay on January 7. They have not lost a regulation game at "The Igloo" since December 27 vs. Atlanta.

Despite a 4-3 overtime loss to at Montreal on Sunday, Pittsburgh is 8-0-2 in its last 10 contests. Sidney Crosby had two assists for the Penguins and leads the league with 59 assists and 84 points.

Crosby has points in 14 of his last 16 games with eight goals and 22 assists in that span. Evgeni Malkin leads Pittsburgh with 25 goals and owns a four-game points streak in which he has a goal and four assists.

The Predators should be a test for the Penguins. Nashville has 77 points and is 5-2-0 in its last seven games, including Saturday's 3-0 victory over fellow division leader Anaheim.

In that contest, Tomas Vokoun made 36 saves for his 19th career shutout and Jason Arnott had a goal and an assist. Arnott has a seven-game points streak in which he has four goals and five assists. The center has goals in four straight contests.
