Blues look to keep take advantage of lowly Flyers

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Blues look to gain some momentum against the worst team in the NHL.

The Blues, who have lost four of their last six games, face the lowly Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

Manny Legace and Curtis Sanford combined to stop all 23 shots they faced in a 1-0 shutout of the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. Sanford came in at 4:13 into the second period after Detroit's Tomas Holstrom collided with Legace in front of the goal. Legace stopped 10 shots in the contest.

Bill Guerin scored the lone goal, his 22nd of the season, for St. Louis, which was 0-for-3 on the power play.

The Flyers have struggled mightily, losing 13 of their last 15 contests. The latest setback was a 5-4 shootout loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

This is the lone meeting between the teams this season. The Flyers won at St. Louis, 5-2, last season.
