Predators look to continue home dominance vs. Kings

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators have been nearly impossible to beat at home this season and aim to keep rolling here when they face the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

The Predators' 79 points are the most in the NHL. Nashville is 20-3-3 at home this season and is currently riding a franchise-record eight-game home winning streak.

The Predators established their franchise record for home victories with a 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday. Steve Sullivan led the Predators with a goal and an assist while Vernon Fiddler, David Legwand and J.P. Dumont also scored.

Sullivan has been on a roll lately, getting points in 11 of his last 12 games. He also has goals in five of his last six games.

Nashville rolled to a 7-0 victory over the Kings on December 23. Sullivan had three assists while Dumont had two goals and an assist. Legwand had two goals and an assist while Chris Mason made 34 saves to record his sixth career shutout.

The Kings started their five-game road trip with a 7-0 blanking of the Florida Panthers on Saturday. But Los Angeles lost its next two to Tampa Bay and to Washington.
