Surging Bruins look for third straight win

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins continue what could be considered a make-or-break road trip when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

The Bruins have 60 points and are in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, six points behind the eighth-place Maple Leafs for the final playoff spot.

Boston is 2-1-0 on its season-high six-game road trip after a 6-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday. Petr Tenkrat had two goals while Marc Savard had a goal and two assists.

The two goals snapped a 25-game goalless streak for Tenkrat, who scored the decisive goal in the seventh round of a shootout in a 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

The Maple Leafs have won two straight after a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. Johnny Pohl and Mats Sundin each had two goals while goaltender Andrew Raycroft made 28 saves.

Raycroft, who Boston traded to Toronto over the summer, is 3-2-0 with a 2.42 goals-against average against his former club this season. Sundin has three goals and two assists in five contests against Boston.
