Canadiens, Bruins square off in Northeast Divison battle

The Bruins try to snap a two-game home losing streak when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
The Bruins have 65 points, eight out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Canadiens have 72, one behind the eighth-place Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders. Boston and Montreal have split the first four games of the season series.
The Bruins returned home from a 4-2-0 road trip and lost, 3-2, to the Atlanta Thrashers on Monday and 4-3, in overtime on Thursday to the Philadelphia Flyers. Mark Mowers scored twice for the Bruins, who surrendered 55 shots to the league's worst club.
Montreal tries to rebound from a wild 8-5 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. The Canadiens have given up four or more goals in four straight contests.
Tomas Plekanec had two goals and an assist while goaltender David Aebischer allowed seven goals on just 29 shots. Aebischer is 1-4-0 with 22 goals against in his last five starts.
