Stars look to rebound from bad loss, face Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars look to rebound from a disappointing losss Friday and exact a measure of revenge when they face the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Dallas endured its fourth straight loss Thursday, a 5-3 setback to lowly St. Louis. Mike Modano scored his 498th career goal and added an assist for the Stars, who converted on just one of their 5-on-3 situations.

Despite their slide, the Stars still have 81 points, putting them one behind San Jose for second place in the Pacific Division.

The Blue Jackets are in the midst of a three-game winning streak. Included in that stretch was a 3-2 shootout win over the Stars last Friday. Sergei Fedorov and Manny Malhotra scored in regulation and Jason Chimera tallied the lone goal in the bonus format.

David Vyborny scored twice and had an assist posted a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles on Wednesday. Vyborny netted his second game-winning goal with just 21.4 seconds left in overtime.
