Emery, Senators look to rebound vs. Blues

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators will try to move into sole possession of fourth place in the Eastern Conference when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

With home-ice advantage on the line in the first round of the playoffs, the Senators are tied with Pittsburgh (41-22-10) for the fourth spot. The Penguins lost to the New York Rangers, 2-1 on Monday.

The Senators are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Ottawa is 12-1-5 over its last 18 games and has just five regulation defeats in the last 36 contests.

The Blues snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 overtime triumph over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

Curtis Sanford recorded 22 saves and Eric Brewer scored the game-winning goal with 2:04 left for St. Louis, which is 8-3-3 in its last 14 matchups.

This marks the first contest between Ottawa and St.Louis since the 2003-04 campaign, when the Senators posted a 3-1 victory on February 10.
