Wild can set franchise record for consecutive wins

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Wild have won six straight games to match a franchise record. They can establish a new club mark with a victory over the last-place Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday.

The six-game streak matches the team's longest from October 5-18, 2006.

The streak includes road wins at Northeast Division leader Buffalo and Northwest Division leader Vancouver, and moved the Wild into a sixth-place tie in the Western Conference with Dallas (43-24-5).

Right wing Brian Rolston and center Mikko Koivu have three goals each during the streak and defenseman Brent Burns netted the game winners against Colorado and Vancouver.

The Coyotes have dropped three straight and eight of their last nine to fall into last place in the Western Conference. Shane Doan has been the lone bright spot for Phoenix, scoring six goals in the last nine games to run his team-leading total to 26.

Minnesota has won two of three games from Phoenix this season.
