Crosby looks to continue road success against Islanders

UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- Sidney Crosby must look forward to facing the New York Islanders.

The Pittsburgh Penguins superstar looks to continue his road success against the Islanders when the teams face off Thursday.

The 19-year-old Crosby has three goals and 11 assists in just six games at Nassau Coliseum in his young career. This season, Crosby has seven assists in two road games against the Islanders.

The NHL's leading scorer, Crosby has played well against New York overall, recording 31 points in 14 games.

But on Monday Crosby had his six-game points streak snapped in a 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers.

Pittsburgh, which is looking for its first playoff berth since 2001, holds the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference and is just two points behind New Jersey (43-22-8) for the top spot in the Atlantic Division.

The Penguins will look to continue their run against the Islanders, who are in 11th place in the East - just one point behind Toronto (35-28-10), Montreal (37-31-6) and Carolina (36-29-8) for the final playoff spot.
