Slumping Red Wings host Ducks

DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings and Anaheim Ducks both have reached the 100-point mark. However, the Western Conference powers are struggling heading into Monday's meeting.

Just two points behind first-place Nashville (48-21-7) in the Central Division, Detroit enters this contest in the midst of a season-high four-game losing streak.

The Red Wings have scored just five goals during their skid. Their last two losses have come in shootouts against St. Louis and Columbus, a pair of teams that will miss the playoffs.

The Ducks, who are just 2-2-1 in their last five contests, are clinging to a four-point lead over San Jose (46-26-4) and Dallas (45-24-6) in the Pacific Division. They trail Nashville by three points in the race for the top seed in the Western Conference.

Anaheim snapped a two-game losing Friday and established team records for wins and points in a season with a 3-2 triumph over Phoenix. Defenseman Scott Niedermayer scored the winner in overtime while Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 34-of-36 shots.

The Ducks have won two of the three meetings between the teams this season.
