Playoff-bound Canucks face lowly Kings

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks are already headed to the playoffs. Now they hope to enter the postseason as a division champion.

The Canucks will face the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.

Vanvouver (47-24-7) has a three-point lead over Minnesota (45-26-8) in the Northwest Division.

Brendan Morrison and Markus Naslund each scored in the third period of a 3-2 loss to Calgary on Saturday.

The Canucks finished March with 24 points, matching the best point total for a single month in franchise history. In 2002, Vancouver finished 12-1-0 in November.

Veteran Sean Burke allowed four second-period goals in Los Angeles' 6-2 setback to intrastate rival San Jose on Sunday. It was the fourth straight loss for the Kings.

Center Michael Cammalleri, who leads Los Angeles with 76 points, has five points over his past five outings.
