Rangers visit Penguins in final regular-season game

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Hoping to gain home-ice advantage in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, the Pittsburgh Penguins host the New York Rangers in the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday.

Already knowing it will face Ottawa (47-25-9) to open the playoffs, the teams are tied for fourth place and home-ice advantage. But Ottawa, which is visiting Boston on Saturday, holds the tiebreaker.

Sidney Crosby has led the Penguins back to the playoffs for the first time since 2001. He leads the league with 118 points.

The Rangers hold the sixth spot in the East, two points ahead of Tampa Bay. They could clinch the sixth spot with a point in this contest.

New York has won three of its last four games. Pittsburgh holds a 4-1-2 advantage in the season series.
