Penguins hope to bounce back after embarrassing Game One loss

OTTAWA (Ticker) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins suffered through an embarrassing Game One loss in Ottawa. Lucky for them, the Ottawa Senators have a history of Game Two defeats.

The Penguins visit the Senators in Game Two of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal matchup on Saturday.

Ottawa claimed a convincing 6-3 victory in Game One Wednesday night, but has an 0-6 record in Game Two's in the playoffs after winning the first game. The Senators have never led a series 2-0.

Ottawa scored twice in the first period on Wednesday and added a tally five minutes into the second to go up 3-0 before Pittsburgh got on the board two minutes later. Right wing Dany Heatley netted the game-winner nine seconds into the third period.

The Penguins had 13 players make their playoff debuts in Game One, including 19-year-old superstar Sidney Crosby, who added a power-play goal in the third period.

The Senators have made the playoffs in each of the past 10 seasons, but have advanced to the Conference Finals only once, losing to the New Jersey Devils in seven games in 2003.

The series shifts to Pittsburgh for Games Three and Four on Sunday.
