Connolly's goal leads Lightning over Flyers

Nov 10, 2011 - 6:48 AM Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Brett Connolly scored the game-winning goal 2:30 into overtime to give the Lightning a 2-1 victory over the Flyers.

Marc-Andre Bergeron scored in the third period to send the game to OT, and Dwayne Roloson stopped 14 shots in Tampa Bay's third straight win.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 22 saves for the Flyers, who despite the loss have recorded a point in each of their last five games.

Scott Hartnell scored Philadelphia's lone goal, redirecting Jakub Voracek's point shot under Roloson's right arm 9:34 into the second period.

Bergeron tied it at the 7:41 mark of the third period on a slap shot from the point, and Connolly gave the Lightning two points by beating Bryzgalov in the low slot in the extra session.

A scoreless first period featured several stretches of play that saw the Flyers control the puck unabated in their zone.

"I like the patience in our game," Lightning head coach Guy Boucher said. "It tells me the guys are buying in."
