Oct 11, 2006 - 2:36 PM Montreal (1-0-1) at Philadelphia (1-1-1) 7:30 pm EDT

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Peter Forsberg doesn't seem to be affected by offseason ankle surgery.

Forsberg looks to keep the offensive production coming when the Flyers host the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.

The center had a goal and two assists in leading the Flyers to a 4-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Tuesday, the club's first in three games.

Forsberg's second tally of the season gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead early in the first period. He followed by assisting on goals from Mike Knuble and Simon Gagne in the second period.

Knuble, Gagne and Geoff Sanderson all finished with a goal and an assist while Antero Niittymaki stopped 25 of 27 shots.

Montreal comes off a 3-2 shootout victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Michael Ryder scored the game-winning goal in the shootout after Mike Johnson and Sheldon Souray scored in regulation.

Canadiens goaltender David Aebischer was sharp in turning aside 36 of 38 shots for the Canadiens, who went 1-for-6 on the power play.
