Hurricanes look to build on first win of season
Oct 14, 2006 - 3:39 PM Carolina (1-3-1) at Pittsburgh (2-1-0) 7:30 pm EDTPITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Having finally posted a victory, the Carolina Hurricanes will try to continue their winning ways on Saturday.
The Hurricanes will look to build on their first win of the season when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at Mellon Arena.
Ray Whitney scored with less than one second to go in the contest lifting Carolina to a 4-3 triumph over Atlanta.
The defending Stanley Cup champions have struggled all season allowing 18 goals in their four defeats.
Sidney Crosby scored with four seconds left to lead the Penguin's to a 6-5 victory against the New York Rangers. The No. 1 overall selection in the 2005 draft also added three assists.
