Anaheim looks to end losing streak against Detroit
Oct 18, 2006 - 2:43 PM Detroit (3-1-1) at Anaheim (3-0-2) 10:00 pm EDTANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- After a fast start the Anaheim Ducks have started to slow down.
Anaheim started the season with three wins in a row before dropping their last two contests via shootout. The Ducks look to end their skid as they take on the Detroit Red Wings at the Honda Center on Wednesday.
Anaheim lost 4-3 in a shootout against the Dallas Stars on Sunday but not before tying the game with 19 seconds left when a Chris Pronger slapshot bounced off Andy McDonald and past goaltender Marty Turco.
Robert Lang scored two goals and lead Detroit to a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. Chris Osgood got his first start of the season and made 22 saves.
Ducks netminder Jean-Sebastien Giguere, has been solid this season with a .935 save percentage.
