Stars look to continue success over Blackhawks
Oct 13, 2007 - 2:40 PM Dallas (2-2-1) at Chicago (2-2-0) 8:30 pm EDTCHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars look to bounce back from an overtime loss when they take on an opponent they have had recent success against in the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.
The Stars, who have lost just two of the last 18 meetings with the Blackhawks, have dropped both of their road games so far this season.
In the latest contest, Dallas got a goal from top scorer Niklas Hagman, but absorbed a 3-2 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames on Friday. Hagman leads the Stars with five goals this year.
Dallas center Mike Modano also tallied Friday, his 508th career NHL goal to move within four points of Phil Housley for the most points scored by an American-born player in the NHL. Housley has 1,232 points.
Robert Lang has two goals to lead Chicago, which has scored just seven times in four games this season.
Patrick Kane - the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NHL draft - and Brent Seabrook leads the Blackhawks with three assists each.
The Blackhawks scored their first two power-play goals of the season in a 3-2 win over Detroit on Friday, but are still just 2-for-18 with the man-advantage.
