Struggling Oilers visit Coyotes

GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Oilers take on the Phoenix Coyotes in a matchup of struggling power plays on Thursday.

The Oilers have scored on just one of their first 25 chances with the man-advantage, while Phoenix is just 3-of-24 on the power play. The Coyotes have also killed just 16-of-22 of their penalty kills - which is the third worst percentage in the league.

Edmonton has lost four straight games - three on the road - after a 2-0 start to begin the season.

Geoff Sanderson and rookie Andrew Cogliano lead the Oilers with two goals each, while rookie Sam Gagner leads the team with four assists.

Phoenix, which has lost three of their last four games, does not have a player who has registered more than four points in the team's first five games.

Shane Doan has tallied four assists while Fredrik Sjostrom leads Phoenix with three goals.

The Coyotes have started three different goaltenders with Alex Auld and Mikael Tellqvist each posting a win.

Edmonton and Phoenix have split their last eight meetings, with each team winning four times.
