Roberto Luongo has struggled lately in net for Vancouver, compiling a 3-6-0 record with a 3.01 goals-against average. The 28-year-old has lost his last four starts but has a 2.14 GAA in 28 career games against Washington.
The Capitals are 2-6-1 in the last nine meetings with the Canucks, with both wins coming in overtime. Washington has not beaten Vancouver in regulation since March 28, 1998.
