Rangers look to get offense on track against Maple Leafs

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- After snapping a three-game losing streak, the New York Rangers attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time this season when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

The Rangers ended their slide on Thursday with a 2-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils. Rangers' goaltender Henrik Lundqvist stopped 22 shots to claim his second shutout of the season.

Despite a 3-5-1 record, the 25-year-old Swede has been solid in net with a 1.78 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage.

Lundqvist hasn't received much help from Rangers offense, which has scored just 15 goals in nine games this season. Not surprisingly, New York is last in the NHL with an average of 1.67 goals per game.

While New York has struggled on offense, the Maple Leafs have had no trouble putting the puck in the net. Toronto is the top-scoring team in the league, averaging just under four tallies a game.

Center Nik Antropov has led the way for the Maple Leafs, logging seven of the team teams 42 goals in 11 games.
