Heatly and Senators aim for seventh straight win vs. Bruins
Nov 4, 2007 - 3:32 PM Ottawa (11-1-0) at Boston (7-5-0) 7:00 pm ESTBOSTON (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators just keep rolling.
Dany Heatley and the defending Eastern Division champions will aim for a seventh straight win when they look to sweep a home-and-home series with the Boston Bruins on Sunday.
Ottawa, which has not lost since October 11, posted a 3-2 victory on Saturday on the strength of two goals from Mike Fisher.
Fisher's second goal snapped a 2-2 tie with 6:11 to play and helped the Senators to their franchise record fourth straight road win.
Ottawa, which has won five of the last six meetings, outshot Boston, 45-19, in Saturday's win.
Despite not having the services of center Jason Spezza, the Senators have outscored their opponents, 24-12, during this streak. Spezza is listed as day-to-day with a slightly pulled groin, having not played since October 27.
Heatley has helped pick up the slack, as he has tallied eight goals and seven assists thus far. His 15 points are the second most on the team behind Daniel Alfredsson (19).
Heatley has fared well against the Bruins, scoring seven goals and collecting eight assists in his last 11 games against them.
One area where the Senators are a little rusty is on defense. That is because goaltender Ray Emery will be making just his third start since offseason wrist surgery, and still trying to get back into form.
As for Boston, it is 4-1-1 at home this season but has been inconsistent overall, having alternated wins and losses in its last six games.
