Bruins, Sabres looking to snap losing streaks

It is the second meeting between the teams in less than a week. Boston picked up its last win on Thursday, defeating Buffalo, 4-3, in overtime to begin November on a high note. The Bruins followed the victory with consecutive losses to the red-hot Ottawa Senators, managing just three goals in the home-and-home series over the weekend.
The recent offensive struggles may be due in part to the absence of Patrice Bergeron, who will miss at least a month while recovering from a Grade 3 concussion he suffered on a hit from behind by Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Randy Jones on October 27.
The 22-year-old center has three goals and four assists this season after finishing the 2006-07 campaign with 22 tallies and 48 assists, registering his second consecutive 70-point season.
The Sabres enter this contest in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
After winning back-to-back games to end October, Buffalo has been outscored 10-5 during its recent slide - including a 2-0 loss to the Montreal Canadiens in its last contest.
Goaltender Ryan Miller, who helped the Sabres to the best record in the Eastern Conference last season by posting a 40-16-6 record, has struggled this season. The 27-year-old netminder is just 4-6-1 this season with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage.
