Ducks look to continue dominance over Blackhawks

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Anaheim Ducks have not lost in regulation this season. They look to continue their success against a team that they have dominated in recent years.

The Ducks will look for their seventh straight win over the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday when they visit the "Windy City."

Anaheim has won three straight contests in Chicago since November 2, 2003.

The Ducks are coming off one of their three shootout losses this season, 3-2 to the Minnesota Wild on Friday. Andy McDonald scored his third tally of the season and former Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 31 shots in defeat.

Anaheim failed in its bid to win its first three road games of the season and had a four-game winning streak snapped.

The Blackhawks took the ice on Wednesday without their first line of Tuomo Ruutu, who sprained his knee in the preseason; Martin Havlat, who suffered a sprained ankle October 20; and Michal Handzus, who tore his ACL.

Chicago was also without netminder Nikolai Khabibulin as it dropping a 5-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

Brian Boucher filled in, making 26 saves for the Blackhawks, who went 0-for-5 with the man advantage.

Anaheim swept Chicago in the season series in 2005-06, outscoring the Blackhawks, 14-6.
