Predators go for 10th straight win over Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) - The Nashville Predators will hope to build off Saturday's shootout victory when they battle the Columbus Blue Jackets again in a matchup between Central Division foes.

Martin Erat scored the lone goal of the shootout and Chris Mason made 36 saves as the Predators withstood a late comeback to post a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Radek Bonk, defenseman Marek Zidlicky and Jordin Tootoo tallied in regulation for Nashville, which has won nine straight meetings with Columbus.

After the Blue Jackets rallied from a 3-1 deficit late in the third, the teams played a scoreless overtime session before needing a shootout to solve things. Erat deked to his backhand before lifting the puck over goaltender Fredrik Norrena, giving Nashville the edge.

Columbus will be looking to stop more than just a losing streak to Nashville. The Blue Jackets have lost three straight games and they have won just eight contests, despite getting five shutouts from starting netminder Pascal Leclaire.

Leclaire will likely be back in the net for the Blue Jackets on Monday. Leclaire is 7-3-0 with a 1.40 goals-against average and has not lost back-to-back starts this season.
