Lundqvist, Rangers look to continue success vs. Panthers

SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) - The New York Rangers are hoping to make their trip to the "Sunshine State" even better Friday.

Henrik Lundqvist will look to keep the Rangers rolling as they visit the Florida Panthers.

Lundqvist made 32 saves and came within 17 seconds of his fifth shutout of the season in Wednesday's 2-1 triumph at the Tampa Bay Lightning. Lundqvist, who has started 21 of the Rangers' 22 games this season, is 12-8-1 with a 1.75 goals-against average and .934 save percentage.

The Rangers have won 10 of their previous 12 contests and moved to the top of the Atlantic Division standings. They have not lost to a team other than the rival Islanders since October 27.

Captain Jaromir Jagr has been held pointless for the last four games, but still leads the club with 13 assists and 17 points.

The Panthers are looking for their third straight win after winning back-to-back road contests over the Washington Capitals and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Olli Jokinen, as usual, has been the main offensive force for Florida. The 28-year-old Finn leads the team with 11 goals and 24 points on the season.
