Maple Leafs, Thrashers look to end losing streaks

ATLANTA (Ticker) - The Toronto Maple Leafs and Atlanta Thrashers both try to stop losing streaks when they meet at Philips Arena on Thursday.

Toronto has lost four straight games, including a 4-3 shootout setback to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday. The Leafs also enter with a three-game skid away from home, with their last road win a 3-0 decision against Buffalo on November 9.

Looking to break back into the win column, the Leafs are expected to have Darcy Tucker in the lineup. The feisty veteran left Tuesday's game after taking a shot in the foot.

The Thrashers have failed to score in dropping their last two games. Atlanta was shut out for the fifth time this season in Saturday's 5-0 blanking at Pittsburgh. Prior to the current two-game scoreless streak, the Thrashers had won seven of eight.

In the only meeting between the teams this season, Atlanta posted a 5-4 shootout victory at Toronto on October 23.
