Flames looking to stop four-game slide

CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) - The Calgary Flames started the month of December similar to how they played in November. That is not a good thing.

The Flames attempt to snap a four-game losing skid when they host the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

Calgary's slump started with a 3-0 loss to the Blues on November 25. Manny Legace made 24 saves in that contest en route to his first shutout of the season and 19th career.

The 34-year-old Legace is 11-6-1 with a 2.22 goals-against average and .918 save percentage. He has won five of his last seven starts and has not surrendered more than three goals in a game over that stretch.

Legace will have to contain one of the NHL's premier player in Jarome Iginla, who leads the club with 14 goals and 36 points. The superstar right wing has 14 tallies and 29 assists in 41 career games against St. Louis.

On the other end of the rink, the Blues have gotten a boost from Paul Kariya and Brad Boyes - the linemates have combined for 22 goals and 46 points.
