Predators seek third straight win

TORONTO (Ticker) - The Nashville Predators are hoping to continue their recent offensive surge against the NHL's worst defensive team.

Martin Erat and the Predators will look for their third consecutive victory when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Nashville is coming off back-to-back road victories over the Ottawa Senators and the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday and Saturday. Erat tallied a goal and two assists in the win over Ottawa, while David Legwand added a tally and two helpers against Montreal.

Erat has a team-leading 16 assists and 24 points on the season.

The Maple Leafs, who have yielded an NHL-worst 94 goals this season, also are looking for a third straight win.

Mats Sundin, who is the only player to register 400 career goals in a Maple Leafs' uniform, leads the team in virtually every offensive category. The Swedish center has 13 goals and 33 points on the season.

In their last meeting on February 8 of last season, the Predators came away with a 4-2 victory in Nashville.
