Red Wings look to derail Panthers road streak

DETROIT (Ticker) - With their seven-game winning streak over, the Detroit Red Wings attempt to start another one at home on Saturday.

At 13-2-1, the Red Wings have the NHL's best home record while the Florida Panthers come in with a four-game road winning streak.

Florida, which has never won five straight road games, has always struggled against Detroit. The team has just three victories in 18 games all-time against the Red Wings and has just one win in eight meetings at Joe Louis Arena.

Panthers goaltender Tomas Vokoun is 9-17-1 with three ties and a 3.18 goals-against average in his career against Detroit. He's been hot of late however, allowed just one goal during his last three games.

The Red Wings are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Edmonton on Thursday, Detroit's first loss since November 24. Left wing Henrik Zetterberg leads the Red Wings in goals (23) and points (43).

Center Olli Jokinen, who leads the Panthers with 16 goals and 15 assists, is scoreless in his last four games.
