Hot-handed Wild visit Kings

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - The Minnesota Wild found their offense on Friday. They'll look to continue scoring when they visit the lowly Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

The Wild had gone five games without topping two goals before earning a 5-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. It was just the second time this season that Minnesota, which sits second in the Northwest Division, has reached the five-goal mark in any game.

Brian Rolston scored his 10th goal of the season and assisted on two others while backup goaltender Josh Harding stopped 28 of 30 shots to earn his fourth win of the season.

Top goaltender Niklas Backstrom, who owns a 2.29 goals-against average, is expected to be back in net for Saturday's contest.

The Kings are again one of the worst teams in the NHL, tied for last in the league with just 26 points. Defense has been the main problem as Los Angeles has allowed an NHL-high 107 goals.

The Kings beat the Wild in the only meeting between the teams this season, claiming a 4-3 shootout victory on October 16.
