Iginla, Flames seek sixth straight road win

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) - Jarome Iginla will try to help the Calgary Flames close out their six-game road trip with a perfect mark when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

After winning just four games the entire month of November, the Flames have gone 6-0-2 in December. The club is currently riding a five-game winning streak with all of the victories coming away from home.

It marks Calgary's longest road winning streak since taking six straight from December 16, 2003-January 6, 2004. The franchise's longest winning streak away from Calgary is seven consecutive triumphs.

Over the current streak, Iginla has scored seven goals and 10 points and leads the team with 23 tallies and 25 assists this season.

Iginla has received help from linemates Kristian Huselius and Daymond Langkow, who have combined for 17 points over the previous three contests.

The Blue Jackets have been led offensively by Rick Nash, but the 23-year-old sniper has been held pointless over the past four games. Nash leads the club with 18 goals and 31 points this season.

After a sensational first month of the season, Columbus has posted a 7-9-5 record since the end of October. Despite the struggles, the Blue Jackets are still tied with the St. Louis Blues for second place in the division.
