Stastny looking to keep Avalanche rolling

ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) - Paul Stastny will try to lead the Colorado Avalanche to their fourth straight victory when they visit the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.

After defeating the Nashville Predators in a home-and-home series, Paul Stastny scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-2 triumph over the Los Angeles Kings.

Stastny, who leads the club in virtually every offensive category, has 15 goals and 41 points this season. He also has a team-high plus-14 rating and 12 points on the power play.

In his second year, Stastny has managed just one goal and two assist in four games against the Ducks. This will mark the first meeting between the two clubs this season.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 20 shots to get his first shutout of the season and 26th of his career as the Ducks ended a three-game losing streak with a 2-0 triumph over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.

The netminder hadn't recorded a shutout since blanking the Nashville Predators on December 6, 2006.

Giguere, however, has not had much success against Colorado in his career, posting a 5-10-1 record with two ties a and a 2.31 goals-against average.
