Red Wings roll into St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) - The Detroit Red Wings have not lost in regulation since November 22, thanks to the most powerful offense in the game and the NHL's top netminder.

The Red Wings try to keep the wins coming when they begin a five-game road trip on Thursday at the St. Louis Blues.

Detroit is 10-0-2 since dropping a 3-2 decision to Nashville on Thanksgiving.

Niklas Kronwall had four assists and Henrik Zetterberg scored his 25th goal of the season in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings, which improved Detroit's home record to an NHL-best 16-2-1.

The Red Wings haven't been quite as dominate away from Joe Louis Arena, but their 9-4-2 road record is the best in the Western Conference.

Chris Osgood, who has served as Detroit's top goaltender since Dominik Hasek went down in November, is 15-1-1 with a 1.56 goals-against average - also tops in the league.

With a league-best 53 points, Detroit is running away with the Central Division. The Blues are in a three-way tie for second place in the division, but trail the Red Wings by 19 points.

The Blues have lost their last four games by a combined score of 20-12, allowing nine goals in a game and five in two others during the slide.

In their only meeting this season, the Red Wings earned a 3-0 win over the Blues on November 21 with Osgood earning the shutout.
