Thrashers seek first-ever win in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) - Winners of three straight games, the Atlanta Thrashers are playing some of their best hockey of the season. Their next task is to do something they have never done before - win at Scottstrade Center.

The Thrashers look to beat the St. Louis Blues on the road for the first time in team history when the teams meet Sunday.

Atlanta's current winning streak is its longest since a four-game push from November 13-21. However, the Thrashers have yet to experience any level of success against the Blues on the road, losing all three games at the Scottstrade Center by a lopsided 11-1.

The Thrashers concluded a perfect three-game homestand with Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. Vyacheslav Kozlov had a goal in regulation and added the shootout winner for Atlanta, which is looking to snap a three-game road slide.

That victory will not come easy against St. Louis, which is 11-5-1 at home. Brad Boyes scored his 21st goal of the season in the Blues' 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

Boyes looks to score in his fourth straight contest. He has been particularly good at Scottstrade Center, scoring 14 of his goals at home.
