Maple Leafs look to win fourth consecutive game vs. Panthers

Nov 2, 2006 - 2:18 PM Toronto (7-4-3) at Florida (5-7-2) 7:30 pm EST

SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) - The Toronto Maple Leafs finally have found a groove and have no intention of slowing down.

Tomas Kaberle tries to continue his goal-scoring run and help the Maple Leafs extend their season-high winning streak to four games Thursday when they visit the Florida Panthers.

Kaberle scored his fifth goal in three games - his 300th career point - and fellow defensemen Hal Gill and Ian White netted their first tallies of the campaign as Toronto rallied in Wednesday's 4-2 triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

After playing eight seasons with the Boston Bruins, Gill ended a 26-game drought by scoring for the first time since March 26 against the New York Rangers to help Toronto raise its road mark to 4-1-1.

Florida has scored just four goals during a three-game losing streak and has dropped five of its last six contests.

Olli Jokinen scored his fifth goal in the second period for the Panthers in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to the San Jose Sharks. He has recorded 12 of his 13 points at home this season.

Mats Sundin collected four goals and two assists and Kaberle netted the game-winner in overtime as Toronto completed a four-game season sweep of Florida with a 6-5 win on April 11.
