Wild look to bounce back against Coyotes

GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) - One day after giving up the most goals they had surrendered in six years, the Minnesota Wild look to bounce back against the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.

Wednesday's 8-3 defeat to Dallas was the second straight loss for the Wild, who had not allowed that many goals since giving up eight on November 16, 2001 at Detroit.

Marian Gaborik leads Minnesota with 18 goals and 34 points, but has not tallied since his five-goal outburst on December 20.

It will be the first game in five days for Phoenix, which had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 2-1 shootout loss to Vancouver on Saturday.

Phoenix is not known as a high-scoring team as its 84 goals are fewest in the Western Conference. Radim Vrbata is the only player to register double-digit goals this season, tallying 13 for the.

Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is 9-6-1 with a 2.09 goals-against average since coming over from Anaheim and has allowed two goals or less in four straight games.

The Wild have won the first two meetings this season and have taken five straight overall from the Coyotes.
