Streaking Stars set to host Predators

DALLAS (Ticker) -- With Mike Ribeiro, Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow making it tough on opposing defenses, the Dallas Stars have forced their way to the top of the Pacific Division.

The Stars will be looking to run their winning streak to five games when they host the Nashville Predators on Monday.

Dallas has won eight of its past nine games on the shoulders of its offensive stars, who have combined for 18 goals in the last nine games. Not to be left out, right wing Antti Miettinen has scored four goals during that span.

Ribeiro's 21 goals in 36 games this season already tops his previous career high of 18 set last season. His stellar play has pushed perennial All-Star Modano to the second line most of the time, a position in which he is thriving.

The Predators have not been so successful on the offensive end recently, totaling more than three goals just twice in their last 10 games.

After finishing tied for the second-highest point total in the Western Conference last season, Nashville currently resides in last place in the Central Division with just 36 points.

The Predators beat the Stars, 5-1, back on October 6 behind a hat trick from center David Legwand.
