Red-hot Iginla leads Flames against Canucks

CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- Even though their trip to Vancouver didn't go so well four days ago, the Calgary Flames will seek revenge Monday night at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Jarome Iginla will hope to help the Flames avenge Thursday's loss when they host the Canucks in a battle of Western Canada rivals.

Iginla scored the opening goal Thursday, but Calgary suffered a 5-3 loss to Vancouver.

The 30-year-old right wing, however, responded with two tallies and an assist to lead the Flames to a 5-3 triumph over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. Iginla leads the club with 27 goals and 53 points on the season.

The Canucks are also coming off a victory over the defending champions, topping the Ducks, 2-1, on Sunday with Henrik Sedin setting up two goals.

Sedin has been a major factor in Vancouver's success this season, tallying 32 assists and 39 points with a plus-10 rating. He has two goals and nine assists over his previous eight games.

The Canucks have won five of their last six games en route to taking the top spot in the Northwest Division standings.
