Garon, Oilers look for fourth straight win vs. Flames

EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- It's been a good homestand for Mathieu Garon and the Edmonton Oilers.

Garon will try to lead the Oilers to their fourth consecutive victory when they host the Calgary Flames on Sunday night.

Edmonton has won the first three games of its five-game homestand. Garon has been in the crease for each of the Oilers' three victories, allowing just four goals.

After stopping 35 shots in his third shutout of the season on Monday against the New York Islanders, Garon made 29 saves in a 5-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.

Garon's task will not be easy Sunday as he faces the Western Conference's third-best offense led by All-Star captain Jarome Iginla. The Flames have tallied 134 goals on the campaign, but have also given up the same amount.

The 30-year-old Iginla, who has been held pointless over the last two games - both losses, leads the club with 32 goals and 60 points on the season.

Owen Nolan scored two goals in Calgary's 5-4 shootout loss the Islanders on Friday. He has nine goals and six assists this season.
