Bruins go for fourth straight win against Maple Leafs

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins shoot for their fourth straight win against the Toronto Maple Leafs when the Northeast Division rivals clash on Thursday.

Boston, which has won four of its past six contests after a six-game losing streak, has won the first three meetings with Toronto this season, outscoring the Maple Leafs by an 11-5 margin in those contests.

The Bruins are coming off a 4-3 overtime victory at Philadelphia on Saturday with Aaron Ward scoring the game-winner. All-Star defenseman Zdeno Chara had a season-high three assists in the game as well.

Right wing Chuck Kobasew, who leads the team with 14 goals, has scored three against Toronto this season.

The Maple Leafs are coming off a 5-4 victory over Carolina on Tuesday, snapping a five-game losing streak.

Mats Sundin leads the team with 20 goals and 50 points, but Toronto's defense continues to struggle. The Maple Leafs have given up three or more goals in 10 straight games and rank 28th in the league in goals allowed per game.

Toronto is 0-5-1 in its last six road games.
