Stars look to keep rolling vs. Blue Jackets

DALLAS (Ticker) -- Even without All-Star defenseman Sergei Zubov in the lineup, the Dallas Stars are performing like one of the best teams in the league.

The Stars seek their fourth consecutive victory Tuesday night when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Zubov, who is tied for the team lead with 31 assists, has been in and out of the lineup recently with a foot injury. The Russian blue-liner also has four goals but has not tallied since December 10, 2007.

Zubov's absence did not hinder Dallas' performance Sunday, when they cruised to a 5-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks and reclaimed the top spot in the Pacific Division.

The Blue Jackets have lost two straight games - including a 3-1 setback in Dallas on Saturday. The Stars have beaten Columbus in both meetings this season.

All-Star Rick Nash leads the Blue Jackets with 25 goals and 42 points this season, but the club has managed just two goals - none by Nash - since his highlight-reel goal in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Nikolai Zherdev, who has 20 tallies and 20 assists on the campaign, had his three-game goal scoring streak snapped in a 3-1 setback to the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.
