Predators look for seventh straight road win

Nov 4, 2006 - 4:52 PM Nashville (8-3-1) at Minnesota (11-2-0) 8:00 pm EST

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators seem to enjoy staying in hotels, flying and riding in buses.

The Predators look to extend their six-game road winning streak when they tangle with the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.

Nashville has won the first three games of its current road trip, with the latest triumph being a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.

Scottie Upshall scored the game winner at 16:44 of the third period when he took a pass from Paul Kariya and beat Edmonton goaltender Dwayne Roloson. Nashville netminder Chris Mason made 22 saves for the Predators, who went 1-for-3 on the power play.

The Wild have been sizzling this season, and go for their second straight win after a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.

Todd White led the Wild with a goal and an assist while Manny Fernandez stopped 9-of-11 shots before leaving the game due to feeling ill. His replacement, Niklas Backstrom, stopped all 19 shots he faced.
