Panthers look to end home ice woes vs. Buffalo

SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) - The Florida Panthers have not had many reasons to celebrate lately at the BankAtlantic Center.

The Panthers will look to end those struggles Wednesday night when they host the Buffalo Sabres.

Florida has lost seven of its previous eight contests at home after relinquishing a two-goal lead in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.

Captain Olli Jokinen leads the club with 24 goals and 49 points, but no other Panther has managed more than 14 tallies this season. Jokinen has seven goals and nine assists in 29 career contests against the Sabres.

Buffalo is looking for its third straight win as the club continues its seven-game road swing.

Jason Pominville snapped a three-game pointless streak with a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 4-2 triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pominville has 11 goals and 38 points this season.
